As a Cashier at Ucluelet Co-op, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized service to our valued members. We prioritize establishing strong relationships with our members and fostering an environment that encourages their continued patronage. We are seeking a positive, dependable individual with a professional approach and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
What You’ll Do:
· Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
· Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
· Provide outstanding courteous customer service
· Be familiar with and adhere to all Ucluelet Co-op policies and procedures
· Ensure the front end is neat, clean, and well merchandised at all times
· Establish or identify price of goods, services or admission and tabulate total payment required using electronic or other cash register, optical price scanner or other equipment
· Assist in general stock duties, including filling shelves, facing merchandise and put away items, when not cashing
· Performing regular audits on training programs to ensure that they are the best practices and effective
· Perform receiving duties when required
· Have a good working understanding of the till operation
· Other duties as assigned

Who You Are:
· Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Working Conditions:
· Flexibility in scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
· Physically demanding tasks including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and occasional stair climbing
What We Offer:
· Competitive retail salary starting at $18.36 per hour, with increases every 1040 hours.
