Meat Lead/Manager
Reporting to the Food Division Manager you will work closely with a meat cutter and meat clerk. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, communication, and providing the best customer service to the community.
What you’ll do:
- Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the Meat Department.
- Receive, inspect and properly store meat deliveries.
- Cut, trim, debone and grind pieces of meat
- Wrap, label and package prepared meat for the counter.
- Ensure displays are full, fresh and presentable within the department.
- Facing, filling and organizing of all product items.
- Thorough cleaning of all machines within the department including disassembling and assembling of equipment.
- Report on department performance to the Food Division Manager
Who you are:
- 1-2 years of previous meat cutting experience is considered an asset.
- Previous knife experience is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs consistently.
- You are honest and trustworthy.
- You have some supervisory experience.
